When you contacted Lingueo, what was your training needs?

With the covid crisis, our activity has come to a complete standstill due to the lockdowns. We wanted to take advantage of this available time to think about increasing the skills of our employees. The priority was to improve everyone's proficiency in English in view of the particularity of our activity: luxury hotels.

What jobs were affected by this training need, and what skills were in demand?

All trades were concerned! In the hotel industry with an international clientele, each employee is likely to communicate with a customer, as a matter of courtesy, to inform him or to give him practical information about his stay in our establishment.

Two learner profiles were identified: on the one hand, those who were already fluent in their oral practice of professional English and who needed to review grammar/conjugation or accent concepts. On the other hand, employees with a low level of English wishing to review or learn the basics for practice in a professional environment.

What were Lingueo's assets in meeting the needs of the Hostellerie de Levernois?

For the management of FNE files and the monitoring of learners' progress, our Lingueo contact person has always been attentive and responsive by email and telephone.

For trainers, the fact of making a preliminary diagnosis of each person's level and of offering personalized training taking into account specific needs is a real plus. The approach offered by video, face to face, is reassuring and stimulating.

How did the training take shape?

We offered all employees the opportunity to follow a 30-hour language course. Once their requests had been validated internally, we put together the applications for funding via FNE-Formation with the support of Lingueo. Then, each employee organized the hours of training on a free basis.

How does the training received respond to the daily professional life of your employees?

As HR, we were committed to giving everyone the opportunity to improve their skills in their English practice.

In the luxury hotel industry, the international dimension is very present. Taking a course in English is an opportunity for everyone to increase their employability for their current position but also for their future.

Did the training create other training needs?

Some have already told us about their desire to follow additional training to further increase their level.

We are going to reflect on a module lasting about fifteen hours for those who wish.
